Fyodor Igorevich Malchik is an Associate Professor, a leading researcher, and the head of the "Electrochemical Production Technologies" laboratory (h-index 13, Researcher ID: D-5721-2015; Scopus Author ID: 57196147903; ORCID: 0000-0001-6381-0738).
He was awarded the title "Best University Teacher of 2023." From 2018 to 2021, he completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at Bar-Ilan University (Israel) under the supervision of the world-renowned scientist, Professor Doron Aurbach. He is the author of over 40 publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
In 2017, he defended his PhD dissertation on the topic "Study of the kinetic characteristics of liquid-phase oxidation and reduction processes of LiFePO₄." He has supervised four successfully completed and ongoing scientific projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
His scientific interests cover a wide range of areas in modern electrochemistry. His key research focuses on the development of electrochemical power sources, including aqueous and non-aqueous metal-ion batteries and supercapacitors, as well as the study of water-in-salt electrolytes (WISE). He is involved in the synthesis of advanced materials, such as intercalation compounds and 2D materials of the MXene family, and in solving applied problems, including the recycling of lithium-ion batteries and the electrochemical synthesis of inorganic substances.
