Saken Kynabekuly Abdimomyn is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University and a junior researcher (h-index 5, Researcher ID: GOW-8420-2022; Scopus ID: 57518892100; ORCID: 0000-0002-5985-9050).
He is a laureate of the prestigious M.I. Usanovich Academician Prize. He is the winner of the International Olympiad in Electrochemistry (2022) and a prize-winner of the "Best Research Chemist" Olympiad (2022). He is the author of 15 scientific publications, 10 of which are indexed in international databases (Scopus, WoS).
In 2022, he defended his Master's thesis on the electrochemical modification of carbon materials for the selective extraction of valuable components and the purification of water resources. He is currently continuing his fundamental study of the physicochemical parameters of electrolyte equilibria to optimize these processes.
His scientific interests are focused on the synthesis and modification of carbon materials for their application in adsorption, ion-exchange sorption, and extraction processes. Key research areas include the extraction of heavy and noble metals from mineral raw materials, the recycling of valuable metals from spent lithium-ion batteries, and the use of carbon materials in electrochemical power sources.
