When preparing coin cell batteries, one of the key steps is to accurately and accurately cut the battery components - electrodes and separator - to the required diameter. This requirement is driven by the need to ensure the components are perfectly sized for optimal battery assembly, which affects its density, capacity and overall electrochemical performance.
Our laboratory uses the MTI MSK-T-10 device to perform this task. This high-performance equipment is designed to cut discs of various diameters from a wide range of thin film materials, making it an ideal tool for preparing components for coin cell batteries. The range of cut-out discs is from 6 to 20 mm.
