Alena Anatolyevna Starodubtseva is a Master of Science and a junior researcher (h-index 3, Researcher ID: MEO-3560-2025; Scopus Author ID: 57988905100; ORCID ID: 0000-0003-4344-2039).
Since 2021, she has been actively engaged in scientific research in the field of metal-organic compounds. During this period, she has synthesized five new compounds whose structures have been added to the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) database. She completed a two-month international internship at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) under the guidance of leading scientist Stanislav S. Fedotov. During the internship, she gained practical experience in developing materials for electrochemical systems.
In 2023, she participated in the 8th International School-Conference on Crystallography for Young Scientists at Skoltech, where she mastered a comprehensive approach to materials research. This included conducting operando studies of battery materials, refining crystal structures using the GSAS-II software, and developing scripts for automating diffraction data processing. She has completed crystallography courses at the "Powder Diffraction & Rietveld Refinement School" at Durham University. She has experience in analyzing materials using powder diffraction, BET, IR spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy.
She has participated in five projects funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, serving as the lead performer in three of them (KМУ АР09058322, 2021–2023; GF АР1487199, 2022–2024; GF АР14871554, 2022–2024). She is the author of nine scientific publications, eight of which were published during her master's studies in Q1–Q2 category journals (WoS).
