Viscometer SV-1A
The viscosity of electrolytes plays a critical role in electrochemical processes because it directly affects the rate of diffusion of active ions in solution. This, in turn, has an important impact on the overall electrochemical performance of the battery, including its efficiency, power and service life. Viscosity measurement is especially important when working with highly concentrated electrolytes and organic systems, where an accurate understanding of the viscosity properties of the electrolyte is necessary to optimize battery performance. In this context, viscosity analysis becomes an integral part of the electrolyte development process.

Our laboratory uses the SV-1A vibration viscometer for viscosity analysis, which has a number of important characteristics that make it an ideal tool for our research. The device offers a wide range of viscosity measurements, allowing you to work with samples from aqueous solutions to ionic liquids, making it a versatile tool for various types of research. One of the key advantages of the SV-1A viscometer is the small amount of sample required for analysis - only 2 ml, which is especially important when working with expensive or limited quantities of substances.

In addition, the viscometer is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor and provides the ability to record viscosity and temperature data in real time (possibility of heating up to 100 ℃ and cooling down to -15 ℃ using temperature control). This feature is extremely useful for studying the temperature dependence of electrolyte viscosity, allowing researchers to accurately evaluate changes in viscosity at different temperatures and tailor electrolyte composition to achieve optimal battery performance under a variety of operating conditions.
