Yaroslav Svyatoslavovich Zhigalenok– 2nd year PhD doctoral student at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Kazakh National University. al-Farabi, junior researcher. In 2022, he defended his master's thesis on the topic of corrosion of metal lithium anodes for lithium metal batteries. He has 3 articles in journals indexed by the international database (Scopus, WoS), as well as 2 publications in journals recommended by KOKSON. Part-time teaching at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. A regular participant and frequent winner of Olympiads, in 2022 he took first place in both rounds of the “best research chemist” Olympiad, and in the same year he and his team took first place in the international Olympiad in Electrochemistry. In the summer of the same year, he took part in the international conference INESS, where he was awarded a second degree diploma for his work. Currently engaged in fundamental studies of the physicochemical parameters of electrolyte equilibria. Area of scientific interests: kinetics of electrode processes, charge transfer, corrosion of active metals, electrochemical energy converters, synthesis of intercalation materials based on metal-organic frameworks, determination of water in organic media by the Karl-Fischer potentiometric titration method, modeling of intercalation processes.
